While the story is short-ish I didn’t feel the romance between the two protagonists was rushed, but I have to say I would have liked a little more. Miggles by Eli Easton is a stand-alone holiday romantic tale. With Toby searching for so much more in a romantic relationship, can he show the disheartened librarian that he deserves a second chance at love and life? They both simply melted my heart as they began to open up to one another and finally acknowledge that what was between them was something special and profound.I wanted more scenes with them as a couple and of course more sexy times. It is no secret that I am an enormous fan of this author. I really enjoyed this sugary tale of love with little angst and moderate steam levels. Those moments of vulnerability between Toby and Sean played havoc on my romantic heart.Toby believes in him so he tries to save him…in every possible way, showing him how to live and also love again. To be honest, I would have liked the story line to be more engaging, but overall I found this Christmas-y story to be quite enjoyable. Both main characters were endearing and I liked them individually and together as a couple. There’s always a little magic in the air when it comes to the Christmas season; and, sometimes it’s that winter magic that can help two individuals find love with the last person they expected. While this story was cute, and I liked Toby, I really didn't connect with Mr. Toby was snarky and sweet, and I liked being inside his head.
What you get is a sweet, fun and light-hearted love story that will leave you happily sighing and clutching your heart. Eli Easton is a sure thing for me, and her Christmas stories have been winners in the past. Both Toby and Sean were well portrayed and I have to say I liked how different they were from each other. I enjoyed his personality and I absolutely loved how loyal he was as the story unfolded. Twenty-four year old Toby Kincaid is the junior librarian at the local library in his hometown of Sandy Lake, Ohio. The way he fought to prove Sean’s innocence and the way he didn’t let the other man give up on everything warmed my heart. Miggles by Eli Easton is a stand-alone holiday romantic tale. He’s got a wonderfully supportive family who he is close to and is in a relationship that seems to be losing its luster.Toby Kincaid loves being the junior librarian in his hometown of Sandy Lake, Ohio.He spends his days surrounded by books and chatting with the library patrons. Both characters were endearing and I could not help but root for their relationship. I wanted so desperately for our two protagonists to get their holiday-made happy forever.
